Our Mission

BEST for Stow will hire an outside Sports Construction Company that specializes in this type work to provide professional installation of the new field and track surfaces. Work will NOT begin until the funds are raised!

The current field will be dug out. A flush curb will be installed around the inside of the Track. New drainage will be installed and tied to the existing storm drain system. A new ‘subsurface’ of washed gravel will be installed, laser graded, and compacted.

The best available synthetic turf will then be installed over this gravel much like a carpet. The field lines will be installed with the synthetic turf on a permanent basis. This is how to date thousands of these fields have now been installed including many throughout Northern Ohio.

The systems to install these fields are designed to remain playable even with 10 inches of rain per hour! When completed, the field will be able to host up to 20 events per weekend even in pouring rain!

The only issue beyond normal maintenance will then be…..how to schedule the events! Weather will no longer be a factor in scheduling.

The Stow-Munroe Falls School Board has formally signed off on giving BEST for Stow, Inc. the authority to proceed with this effort for the benefit of all. BEST for Stow will raise the funds, specify the project for completion, and manage the construction to completion.
